We are a voluntary organisation established and run by business people based in the village for the benefit of local businesses and the village’s community.
Current committee members include:
Chairman – Terry Galvin of Indigo IT
Treasurer – Mike Loughton of Sir Tax Accountants
We are always looking for more members to join our team, so if you’re a Lightwater resident and would like to get involved, please get in touch!
What we do
- We organise 2 Fayres in the Square each year (Summer and Christmas) that are key events for the village
- Together with other local organisations, we help coordinate the annual Village Fete which takes place in May.
- We hold Business Networking events 6 times per year where local businesses can meet informally after work over refreshments.
- We promote Lightwater, representing local business interests
- We support local community organisations
- We provide a Directory on this website for all businesses based in the village
- We provide a Feature profile for member businesses to promote them within the Directory
- We offer member-only promotion on the LBA Facebook page
Membership of the LBA is open to all local businesses from one man bands to larger organisations.
It’s the perfect way to support the community and grow your business.
Why we exist
Our aim is to help our members make connections and gain exposure to help grow their businesses and to support initiatives to help keep and improve Lightwater as a pleasant,
friendly and attractive place to live and work in. We act as a unified voice to help liaise when necessary with local government and associations on behalf of the village businesses.
